As part of Big Green Egg’s 50th birthday celebrations, we’re sharing 50 brand-new recipes from an amazing cast of cooks. Next up is presenter, author and food lover Lisa Snowdon. Lisa has a strong interest in health, nutrition and wellbeing, and spending time in the open air is vital to her sense of self. “Being out in nature, it recentres me, it grounds me,” she says. “You just kind of decompress and then everything’s okay again.”
The EGG is the tool that connects her appreciation of healthy food with her love of nature. “I love the Big Green Egg because I can cook outdoors all through the year. I love cooking outside, serving food outdoors, watching people eat your food – that’s just pure joy. You just go with the flow, go with the elements.”

Living it Large
Lisa cooked her recipes in a Large Big Green Egg. Pair Lisa's punchy flavours of the chicken salad and roasted cauliflower with a paired back flavoured charcoal. Lisa wanted her ingredients sings to a softer backdrop of smoke flavour.
